Marriage Preparation

Congratulations on your engagement!

The first step of marriage preparation is to contact the Parish. One of the priests will meet with you to discuss the steps that are involved. At your first meeting with the priest, he will be happy to reserve a wedding date for you. Generally speaking, you will meet with the priest about a half dozen times before the wedding. Additionally, the couple must participate in two programs offered by the Office of Family Life of the Diocese of Peoria. There are two offerings for Part One and two offerings for Part Two. You must choose one from each of the two parts. They will provide you will certificates of participation that you should give to the priest who meets with you.
